Whole IgG antibodies are isolated as intact molecules from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography. They have an Fc portion and two antigen binding Fab portions joined together by disulfide bonds and therefore they are divalent. The average molecular weight is reported to be about 150 kDa. The whole IgG form of antibodies is suitable for the majority of immunodetection procedures and is the most cost effective.

Western blot analysis of HeLa lysates using βActin antibody as the primary antibody, decreasing concentrations of Rabbit Anti-mouse IgG (H&L), HRP conjugated and Peroxidase AffiniPure Goat Anti-mouse IgG (right, 511103) secondary antibodies were used.

Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
